About the Role

We're looking for a Backend Engineer to help us build and scale the infrastructure powering euclideum.com. This is a fully remote role — you'll be responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of our backend systems.

What You'll Do

• Design and build robust, well-tested backend services and APIs
• Own database schema design, query optimisation, and migrations
• Work with the infrastructure team to improve deployment pipelines and monitoring
• Debug production issues and respond to incidents with urgency and care
• Document systems and contribute to a strong engineering culture

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in at least one of: Node.js, Python, or Go
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with API design (REST or GraphQL)
• Comfort working asynchronously in a distributed team

Nice to Have

• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Prior remote work experience
